This is where the movement begins.
Not with perfection— but with a wound made sacred.
I did not set out to make something beautiful. I set out to survive. To tell the truth of what broke me—and what refused to let me stay broken. This piece is built on the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold—not to hide the cracks, but to honor them. The woman in this piece is not a symbol. She is every person who has loved through pain and stood back up while the world expected her to vanish. Her cracks are filled with gold. Her flowers bloom from the fracture. She wears the crown of those who rise—not untouched, but transformed.
This is Echo #1. It was born from my deepest unraveling. And now, it begins a sacred movement. You are not broken. You are becoming. And there is light in that wound. — Nicholas Ortega
